we're worried about philadelphia. they got close to 30 inches with the last snow. they may be getting a lot of snow with this one. down to baltimore into frederick county and montgomery county and maybe even just touching the beltway, that's where we think there's going to be another 10 to 16 inches. the bull's eye this time for us north of washington across much of maryland, you get for d.c. on south and we think it's going to be 8 to 10 inches. down here south of fredricksburg 6 to 8 inches. definitely a big snow and this is going to be very, very difficult for folks to the north and east. but the one we just had was 20 to 30 inches. not as bad as what we just had but something of great significance that will do a lot of damage when we consider the extra load it's going to be putting on not only trees and roofs but what it's going to be doing to our crews as they struggle to keep up with this. let's play our max hd futurecast and see what happens. by noon maybe still just to the west. so that's why we're still banking on a 1:00 to 3:00 start with this. we take it

if you're heading to boston, new york, philadelphia, down to the carolinas or florida, you are in good shape, probably some of the best travel weather across the country along i95. there will be some trouble spots. if you're getting on a plane and flying to the northern plains, there are going to be blizzard-like conditions. it's probably not the most snow they've ever had, on the order of 3 to 6 inches, maybe a foot in higher elevations across montana, idaho, colorado, there could be delays because of visibility and big wind gusts. south of that, we think there will be thunderstorms. in fact, there are outlook areas for severe weather you can see in the middle part of the country across into missouri and that goes down through little rock so perhaps if you're heading out to st. louis or southern illinois you're going to run into some issues there, but otherwise, most of the rest of the country is going to be good. there is one other thing i wanted to mention on our model, it concerns thursday morning travel. if you're doing what i'm doing and driving into pennsylvania thursday morning

here's our area of low pressure so you can see from philadelphia to manhattan, up to boston, even a little snow and rain mixed in there. they're still gettg the showers as well. our storm will slowly depart and take the rain shield with it. the clouds will still be hanging around tomorrow. meanwhile there is not a lot of storminess to watch. we have one storm across west texas. this thing looks like it's going to be tracking more across the deep south and does notook like it's going to be spreading any rain during this work week. that's good news for us. the flood warnings mr were extended until midnight tomorrow night and it's for the counties that are here along the tidal potomac. so especially in the georgetown area and into alexandria. goose creek and areas like that e the water levels will be staying high at flood levels tomorrow. minor to moderate. 3 to 5 feet or so. then staying kind of high even apps we go through the middle of the week. we've got spotty showers and drizzle tonight. the clouds will be reluctant to leave tomorrow but we could have sunny breaks by tomorrow afternoon.
